Hello fellow bloggers. There seems to be a lot of indictments going on currently. Anyone want to place any bets on what high profile politician will be indicted next? With I. Libby being the most recent addition to the list, I'm wondering how high prosecutor's can go. Let's see so far we have both the Republican leaders in Congress and now a White House counsel. There's two branches, maybe that's why Harriet Miers was nominated because she's the benefactor of some criminal mischief as well since it seems that the GOP is heading towards trying to get someone indicted from their party on all three branches of the Federal government. I only kid, we all know Harriet Miers wouldn't have made it to the Supreme Court considering that many Republican Senators felt she had a hill to climb. The "Architect" Karl Rove is still under investigation which creates quite a conundrum. We all know Rove was not only essential to Bush's rise to power but he is a workoholic. If he goes under it would take a few people to patch that missing cog in the mechanics of the White House. It would be like losing Sammy Sosa, oh wait nevermind. I'm curious as to what's going through Bush's mind right now. Is he feeling like he did in the days of the Texas Rangers or the energy companies that he ran? I can't count him out yet this President is a fighter. I think it was said best on an episode of one of my favorite shows Family Guy uttered by Peter Griffin, "Over? What are you talking about? What kind of talk is that? It's un-American. Did George W. Bush quit even after losing the popular vote? No! Did he quit after losing millions of dollars of his father's money in failed oil companies? No! Did he quit after knocking that girl up? No! Did he quit after he got that DUI? No! Did he quit after he got busted for drunk and disorderly conduct at a football game? No! Did he quit... ". All joking aside he is not doing so well in the polls, but he has an incredibly unified base that he can pander to for support. The next nominee for the Supreme Court will be very interesting.
